The company offers a comprehensive package of rail transport and related services, tailor-made to match a wide range of exacting customer requirements. DRS’ award-winning UK-wide operations are delivered from a national network of fully equipped depots and facilities, supported by a 24/7 control centre.

Having used Sage 1000 for many years DRS migrated to Sage X3 with their existing Sage partner.

Once live DRS experienced considerable issues which led to difficulties in achieving the expected business improvements due to system setup, data issues and process design.

The full audit of the configuration and setup culminated in a structured action plan to tackle the high priority problems, win over the users and reposition Sage X3 as a fully functioning core financial management system.

Result

Business process automation built using the native Sage X3 workflow and notification engine, Sage Electronic Documentation, Customer Service CRM, handheld stock management and Sage Data & Analytics integrated reporting has further improved and streamlined core operations and enabled DRS to expand without a corresponding increase in additional overheads.

The success of the project has led Sage X3 being expanded out to the wider group.
