R2 of Sage Intacct updates Security, Automation and More
Sage Intacct Release 2 (Release 2) is now available and includes a large number of new and updated features. This version represents the second major release for the year after 2024R1. It includes improvements and additions for financial transparency as well as security, billing, analytics, and more in SageIntacct.
Sage Intacct Release 2 has some new and updated features.
Passwordless authentication
Sage Intacct’s latest update has added passwordless authentication. You can now sign in to your system with Microsoft Entra ID, (formerly Azure Active Directory), and change your login from a credential-based process to one that uses Microsoft authentication methods.
Fiscal Year Rollover Document Sequences
Sage Intacct 2024 R2 includes a new feature that allows you to manage your alpha-numeric sequences. It also improves organisation and transaction matching.
No longer do you have to worry about manually resetting sequences at the beginning of every fiscal year or running out of them. Fiscal year rollover automates this process to ensure a smooth transition.
Your transactions will match year after year. Fiscal year rolling over keeps your sequences separate for each fiscal period. This makes it easier to match and identify transactions within the same financial year.
With year-specific data, you will get a clearer picture of the data. With neatly organised data, you can analyse trends and compare activities across fiscal years.
Bank Transactions Assistant
The Bank Transactions Assistant, a feature that was previously introduced and is now the default, offers a way to import transactions from banks for reconciliation, focusing on flexibility, visibility, and control.
Sage Intacct R2 has a number of new features.
- All bank transactions on the Bank Transactions page will show imported transactions in one central location.
- Even after reconciliation, transactions imported into Sage Intacct remain in Sage Intacct
- You can now choose from a variety of file formats, increasing your flexibility.
- Permissions can be used to increase the control over who imports bank transaction.
- The new list of import activities provides additional insight
This feature streamlines payments and advances at the entity-level, which is especially useful for companies with multiple entities, currencies, and currencies.
Accounts Receivables – New Permissions
Sage Intacct allows users to draft payments for later review, allowing you to add flexibility to your Receivable processes. It is possible to draft payments from customers for later review. This makes it easy to verify or edit bulk-imported payment via the API, CSV files or Bank Transaction Assistant. These can be managed from the Posted Payments Page, where bulk postings or deletions are possible.
Easy access to payment files
You can generate and access ACH payments and bank files directly from the Module Accounts Payable. No need to switch programs. This modification aims at streamlining the payment process for AP Clerks.
Blanket Purchase Orders
Sage Intacct simplifies non-inventory purchases and services with blanket purchase order. Create a purchase order for a certain amount. As services are consumed, draw down the amount.
Blanket Purchase Orders
With blanket sales orders, simplify billing for non-inventory and services. Create a sales order with a predetermined price and bill customers over time. This feature allows for a drawdown on the order based on price. It provides visibility of previously billed amounts, and tracks the balance remaining against the contract amount.
Financial Reporting of Projects
Sage Intacct has added new features to its project-based reporting, such as the ability to schedule reports that are filtered by projects or groups of projects. Use the “Run as Individual Reports” option in the Financial Report Writer under the Filters Tab to separate reports for each project.
